Rediscovering my old works is such a delight. Reading what I was able to write eight years ago is very encouraging, motivating me to pursue and maybe even exceed this level of writing.
Here’s a verse which a friend particularly liked:
That’s what it’s been for all along, hasn’t it? A search for reason, a search for purpose. We seek something elusive, like images from somebody else’s mind. We try looking for clues, in the way muscles contract and relax, in the direction that eyes look. In things as ordinary as these, we seek meaning, we give meaning. And we never find out if we are right or wrong. We simply believe.
